Look who dropped in to stay
The Egerton Grey Country House Hotel recently had two very special guests to stay - the Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Richard Morgan-Price, proprietor of the hotel, said: "We are absolutely delighted that the couple chose to stay at Egerton Grey as part of their visit to Wales.
"We pride ourselves on offering discreet yet attentive service in a truly tranquil setting," he said.
Egerton Grey is a 10-bedroom country house hotel set in seven acres of gardens at a secluded rural spot near the coast, yet only 20 minutes from the centre of Cardiff. A fine building which dates from the 17th century, it has been beautifully restored by present owners Richard Morgan-Price and Huw Thomas and is enhanced with a wealth of fine antiques and paintings.
The Royal couple were accompanying the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at the official opening of the third National Assembly for Wales at the Senedd in Cardiff.
After lunch with Assembly Members during a visit to the National Museum in the capital, the Prince and Duchess visited Dyffryn Gardens and Arboretum.
Their final public engagement during the trip was attending a Cardiff Business Club Dinner at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
